A few weeks ago I blogged about my skin woes...and thanks to all of your helpful advice, my skin is looking and feeling better! I stopped using the Estee Lauder products which stung, and tried drinking more fluids. My forehead is not AS bumpy as it has been...still far from smooth though!
As for my current skincare routine, I use Mentholatum's Acnes Face Wash in the morning and before bed. It kills the bacteria that accumulates in the pores, yet it's gentle and non-drying. I'll post a pic of that when I get home. Twice a week I use St. Ive's Invigorating Apricot Face Scrub. Once a week I'll use Freeman's Avocado Clay Mask in the shower. The mask stings a bit, so I only leave it on for 2 minutes, then I wash it right off. My skin feels so smooth afterwards!
I bought some new skin products and makeup, so I will so a post on that soon...
Hope everyone has a good weekend with family, friends and boyfriend/girlfriends!
*Muuuuaaahs!*
Re: Edit...random funniness
My boyfriend and I have the 'Joker' app on our iPhones. He enjoys taking random pictures of me where I'm caught off-guard, looking hella fug. Here's one from yesterday, while we were waiting at the bank...Check out the old dude chillen' in the back.

I like their Whipped Silk Body Wash :) I order their products off of drugstore.com or I have my bf get stuff for me...
Hey hottness, my skin is going through some crap too ever since we moved to Germany....it's cold here and the heat is on and it's drying me out! ahhh!! :) I love St Ives...
Sarah: I am dreading winter...my skin takes a beating from the dryness here....BTW have you tried German cosmetics/skin products? If so, please share your thoughts...maybe we can do a swap???
I want to go back to Tokyo! Me and the hubbers got married there. I haven't tried anything yet but when I do I'll let you know and I'm for sure up for a swap!
p.s. My Momma is in JP now and she's sending me a HUGE box of FOOD!!! YUuuuuuummmmmm
Hey Aya!! My skin has been going crazy lately and I have no idea why, I had a really good routine going but now I think my skin is used to it and it's not working. In the Mentholatum's Face Wash do you use the creamy or foamy? I looked it up and I like the sound of it!
Sarah: So were you two stationed at Yokota? I think nivea is a popular brand in Germany..? I dunno. If you want anything from here just holler~.
Neeyuh-chan! I was just reading your blog! I think it's a good idea to switch up the routine sometimes...my skin gets 'used' to the product and it stops being effective...sucks! And I use the creamy wash in the tube, not the one in the foam dispenser thingy. I LOVE it, and it smells citrusy-good!
so glad to hear your skin's getting better! cuz we definitely need more pix soon!
omg ahhahah the BF pix... that's cracking me up - dont you hate those paparazzi shots! LOL
haha thats soOo coo "why so serious" howd u do that?
Yeah it's kinda like that good things never last type of deal when it comes to skincare, lol. Oh ok, I think I'm gonna order it. I read up on it and it sounds good so no harm in trying!
hahah I love that joker app, it's so funny to see how different people look in it!
I've also been having skin trouble lately. My face has reverted back to breakout status. Haha. I only use 4 products on my face now (aside from makeup) every day. I even stopped using Nivea to see if that would help. Bleh. I'm curious to see what you've been using, but then again maybe not because I might be tempted to go out and try more stuff and bombard my face again. :P
Tracy: I hope you don't mind me asking, but what four products do you use? Do you have combo skin too?
I stopped using Nivea too...I'll probably go back to using it once the weather gets really cold and dry...
Jesmakeup: It's this silly little application for the iPhone...it's free and kinda pointless, but I get a kick out of it every time...you can 'stamp' pictures with Joker icons!
Neeyuh: I really hope you didn't pay an arm and a butt cheek for that facewash...it's good stuff though!
lol that was so funny! I never heard anyone say it like that!
Actually I found it on sasa.com for $4.10 and I think I might try out the oil control cleansing sheets too just to see how they are. I was surprised because all the other sites had it for over $12
