New Night Cream!

After reading Ms. Gee's review on Nivea Creme as an everyday moisturizer, and it's comparison to Creme De La Mer, I picked up a can (tub?) for myself on my way home from work. I am a big fan of dupes and good drugstore finds. It's a simple moisturizer that can be applied to your face, arms, legs, feet, and anywhere else you please.

So for the next few days I will try this stuff out as a night cream and see how my skin reacts. Lately my skin's been a mess. One minute it'll be oily, then itchy. I'll even develop red, mosquito-bite esque bumps that usually go away in a few hours, but annoying nonetheless. It must be the fluctuating temperature and humidity. Last week we had lots of rain and it was FREEZING cold. This week it's been pretty sunny and hot. So I need a cream/lotion that will calm my angry skin.

First off, I L-O-V-E the scent. It reminds me of my obaachan (grandmother). She must've used this stuff too, since it's been around for a few decades. I just slathered it on my face a little while ago, after I spraying my face with my humongo can of Evian Brumisateur (facial spray). It's very thick, and kind of hard to spread...almost like refrigerated cream cheese! I'm touching my face now, and it doesn't feel too greasy, and the dry patches around my mouth and on my cheeks are no longer there.

I will update you guys as often as I can and let you know if the cream is working for me. Hopefully I won't wake up in a few hours with a face full of zits. Nasstaay!

'Cream Cheese Face Cream'...looks yummy dontcha think?

Is the Nivea Creme that you purchased made in Germany? According to some members from MUA, the Nivea Creme made in Germany is of better quality as it does not contain methylchloroisothiazolinone, known to cause sensitisation for some people.
The Nivea Creme sold in Malaysia is imported from Thailand & contains methylchloroisothiazolinone. Hence, I dare not use it on my face for fear of breakout (note: I have acne-prone & sensitive skin, can't afford to that the risk). Do keep us posted on how it works out for you.

I can't wait to hear your review of this. I've been thinking about picking it up and using it on my neck. I think on my face, I would totally wake up with a face o' zits.

YAY!!! You're trying it!! Well, you don't need alot. Rub a bit between your fingers to warm it up before you apply so it's not so thick. It's slow to absorb so you have a slight greasy feeling until completely sinks into the skin, and I think alot of people mistake that as that it makes their face MORE oily.

Let me know how it works out! I pray you don't break out! I would feel so bad if you did!!!
